Track cycling takes place at the Toormina Velodrome all year round. All cyclists are catered for, and anyone new to cycling, as well as seasoned participants, are welcome to attend our fun focused track sessions. The program varies slightly during the year with the primary track racing season between October and March. One of the biggest attractions to track cycling is the variations of events. Currently, the Olympic track cycling events are held over distances between 200m and 40km, so there is an event for everyone! Our track race director also adds in non-Olympic races where the focus is on participation where everyone gets a chance to be successful. Our current program includes:

Learn More

Monday – Race Practice (usually four races of various distances including Scratch races, sprints, wheel races, keirin racing and team race)
Tuesday – Junior Training (see below for details)
Wednesday – 100 lap motor pace (all abilities welcome)
Thursday – Ladies training (a diverse and motivating group of ladies who put their hearts into enjoying the sport)

The minimum licence requirement for these sessions is a Cycling Australia Ride licence. Please check Facebook or our website for up to date session details or contact the Club for details.

Various come and try opportunities will also be available throughout the year for you to get a taste of the action. The track cycling community are always keen to help new participants in the sport and loan bikes, and private coaching sessions can be arranged as required.
