|MTB racing update - May 2012|
Round 2 of the 2012 GNaTPACK series is on Sunday the 6th of May at Kempsey. Check out all the information and online registration on the Kempsey club website. Online registration will close on the 4th of May so you better get entered if you don't want to miss out. There will also be a Super D race on saturday 5th of May at Kempsey for those who like their racing pointed downhill.
The Port Macquarie 24hr is on the weekend of 12/13 May at the uber cool Telegraph Point track. The event was originally scheduled to be held on 21/22 April but the weather had other ideas. Reports from Tele point are the track is looking good. You can find all the info you need and register on the Refusenix Racing website. If you have not been to a 24hr MTB race before they are great fun (unless you are one of those strange solo riders who thrive on pain). The camping area at telepoint is a footy field and there will be a good contingent of Coffs riders down there. As well as the 24hr, there will be a 6hr (including juniors team race) on the saturday afternoon, a 12hr and a 6+6hr. So no matter what your preference they've got a category for you. There are a couple of teams (seniors and juniors) still looking for team members so jump on the Refusenix Racing or Coffs MTB facebook pages and get yourself sorted..
Good luck to everyone riding at Kempsey and Port, we hope to see you there.
PS - I forgot to mention that Round 3 of GNaTPACK series will be held on Sunday 27th of May at Nambucca - if that doesn't bring a smile to your dial, nothing will :)
